NFL star Hines Ward danced his way to ultimate victory on this season of DWTS, and was named champion alongside his partner, Kym Johnson. It was an interesting season. As usual, more attention was focused on the stars who struggled a bit than those who excelled. There was plenty of stories about runner-up Kirstie Alley to go around. We heard about her weight, her falls, and her awesome attitude, but not much was said about Hines Ward. He quietly advanced from week to week, until he was set for the finale.
